GCCA, from early pioneer to market leader
Nomad Express, the Early Pioneer
Nomad Express was started in Tbilisi Georgia in the early 1995 when clients requested local professional moving and removal services, as specialized removal companies simply didn't exist in this part of the world at this time. Cooperation with Gosselin World Wide Moving in Belgium began at this early stage when Nomad Express purchased quality packing materials from Gosselin. Personnel from Georgia went to Belgium to join one of the Gosselin packing teams in order to learn quality skills and techniques. Other Nomad colleagues from nearby countries soon followed.
Nomad Express advertised itself as a reliable partner on the historical Silk Road, the ancient link between the eastern and western worlds, traditional lands of moving and trading nomads. A camel/nomad logo was adopted to emphasize this point of view.
Other Nomad offices soon followed; first Nomad Armenia, later Nomad Azerbaijan, Nomad Uzbekistan and Nomad Kyrgyzstan. Nomad representative offices were appointed in Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, all using the Nomad Belgium office as a coordination center. As activity in the region grew, Nomad Express frequently operated as a local subcontractor for Gosselin, and in turn Nomad used the Gosselin international network and intermodal transportation solutions.
Nomad Express Formally Joins Gosselin World Wide Moving
At the end of 2005, Nomad Express became a fully owned subsidiary of Gosselin World Wide Moving, and was renamed Gosselin Caucasus & Central Asia (GCCA). GCCA became part of a multinational organization with 47 branch offices in 32 countries, more than 600 employees, a million square feet of warehousing and 200 vehicles providing service from the western border of China to The United States.
